Description

Vocabulary
Encourage students to describe the matched pairs in Spanish, using phrases like “¿Qué es? Es…” (What is it? It is…). Additional vocabulary useful for playing the game includes ‘Es mi turno’ (it’s my turn), ‘Es tu turno’ (it’s your turn), ‘Tira el dado’ (roll the dice), and ‘Pierdes tu turno’ (you lose your turn).”

How to play
Roll one of the dice and find a match on the boards. When a match is found, the player covers the corresponding box on their board with a chip. If a player rolls a picture or word they’ve already covered, they skip their turn. The game concludes when all the boxes on the board have been covered.

  • 1 board per student (choose from set 1 or 2)
  • 2 dice per student (chose from set 1 or 2)
  • 12 chips or counters per student
