Hola mama (or papa 👋), I’m María Menéndez— a big-time believer that language learning should feel like playtime. If your little one loves making things, using their imagination, and learning something new along the way—you’re totally in the right spot.I’m throwing a feel-good fiesta for Earth Day (April 22) and you’re invited. 🎉 It’s a FREE Spanish class for kids on April 18th—and yes, there’s a ridiculously cute recycled craft included.

Yep! We’re building recycled characters—turning “trash” into the cutest cardboard besties, we are reusing “reutilizando”. While we glue googly eyes and tape on bottle cap legs, your child will naturally learn how to say things like “ojos,” “boca,” “piernas,” and more in Spanish.It’s hands-on, silly, screen-friendly, and actually fun. (No grammar drills in sight.)

Who’s it for?
- Kids ages 4–12
- No experience needed—beginners totally welcome!
- Homeschoolers, afterschoolers, curious learners, or just anyone who loves a good hands-on project.
And don’t worry—you don’t need to speak Spanish or be a Pinterest parent. If you’ve got a glue stick and a smile, you’re golden.
What will my child actually learn?
Here’s the short list:
- Body parts in Spanish (head, arms, legs, eyes, etc.)
- Earth-loving words like reutilizar, cuidar, planeta, Tierra, …
- Saying phrases like “Yo puedo cuidar la Tierra” (“I can take care of the Earth”)
- Basic sentence building: “Yo tengo…“ and “Él/ella tiene…” (He/she has…)
I use visuals, movement, and lots of encouragement. Even total beginners walk away speaking Spanish—and feeling like bilingual superstars.This is perfect for beginners and bilingual students, because everyone gets to grow from where they are. 🌱Maybe your child is saying their very first “ojos”… or maybe they’re already using full sentences like “Él tiene piernas largas.” Either way, they’re learning to use Spanish in real-life, playful ways—and that’s where the magic happens.
Why build a recycled character?
Because when kids do, they remember.Your little one will be deep in imagination land, building a silly recycled buddy… …and just like that, they’re learning words like “ojos” and “manos” without even realizing it.Learning body parts, colors, and Spanish structures like “Yo tengo…“ (I have) or “Él tiene…” (He has…) becomes second nature—because they’re LIVING it, not just memorizing it.Spoiler: They won’t want to stop.
