What does my child need for the online classes?

To participate in our online classes, your child will need a few key things:

  • A desktop computer, laptop, or tablet with a webcam (smartphone is not recommended)
  • Speakers and microphone, or headphones with a microphone (recommended)
  • A stable internet connection
  • A quiet, well-lit space to participate in the class

By making sure they have these things, your child will be set up for success in their online learning experience.

Do I need to attend class with my child?

While we don’t recommend parents or guardians attending Group or One-on-One classes with their children, we do suggest staying nearby in case of technical issues, especially for younger students.

We want to foster the autonomy and responsibility of your child!

Occasionally, certain activities, especially in our Enrichment Club, may require adult supervision. Rest assured, we will provide advance notice in such cases.

We’ll appreciate your collaboration in ensuring your child has all the necessary resources and materials for their class.

Our classes

Do you offer a trial class?

Yes, we offer trial classes for all our Spanish programs, exclusively for new students. It’s a great way to see if our program is a good fit for your child.

During the trial class, your child will have a mini-lesson with our lead teacher to assess their comfort and Spanish proficiency level. This is also the time for our teacher to get to know your child’s interests, level, and learning style.

This is also your opportunity to discuss your child’s specific needs, learning goals, and get answers to all your questions.

Is there anything I need to prepare in advance for my child’s class?

The required materials for each lesson may vary depending on the day’s activities. I will notify you in advance if any specific items are needed, such as printed materials, cut-out cards, Play-Doh, etc.

That way, your child will have everything they need and be all set to go when it’s time for class.

What is the recommended frequency for classes?

For optimal progress, it is recommended to have one or two classes per week. This allows students to consistently practice and reinforce their learning.

The minimum requirement is one class per week, but it depends on your child’s needs, goals, and your budget.

We recommend that once classes have started, they should be continued, as learning a language takes time and commitment.


How can I check that everything is working before starting a class in Zoom?

To ensure everything is working before starting a Zoom class, visit this link. It’s best to open Zoom 5-10 minutes in advance to check your audio and microphone.

Additionally, make sure your device is up-to-date and meets system requirements before the class.

How to access the online class?

To access the online class, we use the Zoom video conferencing platform. Once your payment for the class is confirmed, you’ll receive a link that remains the same throughout the program.

If you don’t already have the software installed on your computer, you can download it here. For any questions on how to use Zoom, you can refer to their support center.

How to change your name on Zoom when joining a meeting?

To enter the Zoom meeting, it’s essential to use your child’s name as their ID. Here are the instructions for changing the name when joining a Zoom meeting.

Please note that we won’t allow entry to the class if the student is not properly identified.

Do you record the classes?

Yes, we record all of our lessons for quality control and to allow students to catch up on missed classes (applies to our Enrichment Club and Group programs).

If you need access to a recording, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to provide it to you.

What happens if technical issues occur during the class?

If technical issues on the student’s side disrupt the regular flow of the class, the teacher is not responsible. However, if the problems are on the teacher’s end, the student can reschedule the class at no additional cost.


How do you ensure the safety of my child while online?

At eSpacool, the safety of our students is our top priority.

  • Only registered parents or guardians who have paid for the classes are provided with access to the class link, which is personal and should not be shared with anyone else.
  • We maintain a strict policy against inappropriate behavior during class, and any issues will be promptly addressed, and the appropriate measures will be taken.

Privacity of your child

We want to assure you that your child’s privacy is of utmost importance to us. Without your explicit permission, we will never share or post your child’s images, class work, or class recordings on any social media, via email, or on any other platforms.

Attendance and cancellations

What happens if my child misses a class?

Enrichment Club and Group Classes

If your child misses a class, there’s no need to worry. We offer recorded lessons that students can access at their convenience, allowing them to catch up on any missed material and stay on track with their learning. If you require access to a class recording, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to provide it. This way, your child can maintain their progress in their studies.

One-on-One Classes

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If your child can’t join their class at the assigned day and time, we’ll make every effort to find an alternative spot for them during the same week.

Please be aware that this option is subject to availability, but we’ll do our best to accommodate you.  

*Refunds won’t be provided if your child miss a class.

Can I cancel or reschedule a class?

Yes, you can cancel or reschedule a class, but it’s mandatory to notify the teacher via email with a 24-hour notice.

Sessions canceled with more than 24 hours of notice can be rescheduled. This option is subject to availability, but we’ll do our best to accommodate you.  

However, sessions canceled with less than 24 hours of notice are considered as conducted and, therefore, will not be rescheduled.

What happens if my child is late to class?

At times, due to personal reasons, your child may arrive late to class. In such cases, please promptly inform your teacher. Once connected, the class will continue within the scheduled timeframe and conclude as usual. It cannot be extended to compensate for the lost time.

If no prior notice is provided, and your child does not attend, the class will be treated as conducted, and rescheduling will not be an option.

Payments and refunds

Do you offer a discount for siblings?

For our Enrichment Club, it’s one price for the whole family, and siblings can join at no additional cost.

In our online Group classes, siblings can participate in the same class, but they’ll need to pay for their spot. We do offer a 10% discount for siblings attending the same course, so if you have multiple children interested in joining, please let us know.

To ensure each child gets the most out of the class, we recommend using separate screens for siblings attending the same course.

What payment options do you offer?

Payments must be made by the first day of each month, and we accept payment through PayPal or bank transfer.

I am not responsible for any additional bank or PayPal charges.

How can I cancel my monthly subscription?

To cancel your monthly subscription, please notify us at least 15 days in advance of your desired cancellation date.

Refunds for any remaining days of the month won’t be provided.

Do you offer refunds?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds once you enroll in one of our Spanish programs, except in cases of force majeure or program cancellation due to not reaching the minimum number of students (group classes and enrichment club).

If a refund is necessary, the amount paid will be refunded within 30 days from the date the service is canceled.
